Sugar-Free Peanut Alert: Some new sugar-free peanut butters are using Xylitol instead of sugar. Xylitol can be toxic for dogs. Check the labels.
Salmonella Scare Continues Across 19 States: Carolina Prime Pet Care, Inc. has issued a recall for 400 bags of “Hollywood Feed Carolina Made Chicken Chips” dog treats due to potential Salmonella contamination. The affected treats, sold online and in stores across 19 states, come in purple and black bags with an expiration date of 11/13/25 and lot number 20051324L2.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warns that contaminated treats could cause symptoms such as nausea, fever, and abdominal cramps in both dogs and humans who handle the product.
Stop using the treats and contact the company at 828-394-6460 or [email protected] for refunds or replacements. If pets show symptoms like diarrhea, vomiting, or fever, seek veterinary care immediately.
Animal Inspiration:
Animals are invaluable friends to humans and serve as exemplary models for our behavior. They don’t question us and remain free of judgment.
If having a soul means being able to feel love, loyalty, and gratitude, then animals are better off than most humans.
Embracing love for all living beings is the greatest virtue that defines humanity.
Life Hacks:
Do you want to simplify your veterinary visits? Leave your pet carrier inside, remove the door, and fill it with some cozy or soft objects. Because it's a familiar setting, they will feel less anxious, and it will be much simpler to get them inside.
This year, when your friends ask what you want for Christmas, simply respond, "Your favorite book." You'll acquire a tiny library full of fantastic reading material created by your friends!
Find yourself in a bad mood for no reason? As with babies, the answer is often very simple: food, drink, sleep, warmth, etc. Simply because you are an adult doesn't mean that you no longer need basic wants.
If you stumble across a random USB drive, never plug it in! This approach is commonly used by scammers to enter your computer by placing spyware/malware on USB keys and leaving them in public places.
Pet Pro Tip:
Make dietary adjustments gradually while keeping an eye on your pet's reaction. Frequent veterinary examinations can assist in optimizing dietary plans for optimal health outcomes and establish a health baseline.
